The role in one line Commercial AE is where incident.io 's growth gets made real - you're in front of the most ambitious digital-native companies out there, and the deals you close show up in the trajectory of the whole business. What that looks like day to day This is a full-cycle AE role with a strong outbound bias. Yes, inbound comes in - but the AEs who thrive here are the ones who don't wait for it. You'll own your own pipeline from the ground up, building target lists, running creative outreach campaigns, and picking up the phone without being asked twice. Outbound here is a craft, not a numbers game. You'll be selling into VP Engineering, CTO, and SRE leaders at some of the most forward-thinking digital-native companies in the world. Deals typically land in the $40k–$50k range with a clear path into six figures, and a sales cycle of around 45 days means you're moving fast and closing regularly. We run a pod model - you'll work closely with a BDR and Solutions Engineer rather than whoever happens to be free. That means real partnerships, shared context, and accountability that goes both ways. You'll also work alongside CS from early in the deal, which means handoffs that don't lose the thread.
