Hospitality General Manager Diss, Norfolk | 38,000 neg Full time, permanent Michelle Denny Recruitment is looking for an experienced Hospitality General Manager to take the lead of a busy and popular hospitality business in Diss. With a loyal customer base, a strong local reputation and a team that cares about what they do, there are already some very good foundations in place. The opportunity now is to bring greater commercial focus, structure and consistency to the day to day operation, while protecting the warmth and customer experience the business is known for. This is a hands on management role with plenty of autonomy. You'll have responsibility across the whole operation, from people and rotas to purchasing, margins, waste, service standards and profitability. You'll understand the numbers behind a successful hospitality business, spot where things could work better and have the confidence to make those changes happen. Just as importantly, you'll know how to bring the team with you. This isn't about changing everything. It's about understanding what already works and building on it. What you'll be doing Taking overall responsibility for the day to day running of the business Leading, supporting and developing the team, with clear expectations and accountability Managing staffing levels, rotas and labour costs Monitoring sales, margins and other key performance measures Reviewing purchasing, stock control, pricing and supplier arrangements Reducing waste and identifying opportunities to improve profitability Maintaining high standards of food, drink, service and presentation Ensuring food safety, health and safety and other compliance requirements are met Handling customer feedback and maintaining a consistently high standard of customer experience Providing clear operational and financial reporting to the owners Identifying and implementing practical improvements across the business What we're looking for You'll need proven management experience within hospit
