Grant Accountant – 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract Location: Central London – a short walk from Bank Station Working pattern: 3 days per week, hybrid – 1–2 days in the office Contract: Fixed-term, 6 months Salary: 32,000– 38,000 FTE, pro rata for 3 days per week, depending on experience We are delighted to be working with a highly regarded organisation to recruit an experienced Grant Accountant on a six-month fixed-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant with strong grant accounting and charity/not-for-profit experience to take ownership of grant financial reporting and compliance, while also establishing a robust procurement framework. Working closely with the Senior Finance & Operations Manager and wider fundraising and finance teams, you will play a key role in ensuring grant finances are accurately managed, compliant and well reported, while supporting the development of effective procurement processes. The Role The successful candidate will have responsibility for preparing financial information for grant proposals and donor reports, maintaining restricted and unrestricted fund schedules, monitoring grant expenditure and ensuring compliance with funder requirements and Charity SORP. Alongside the grant accounting responsibilities, you will design and implement a procurement framework, including supplier due diligence, purchase order processes and contract management. Once established, you will ensure a smooth handover of the procurement function to the Finance Assistant. This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys working across both technical finance and process improvement within a purpose-led organisation.
