Venn Group is delighted to be recruiting for a Finance Assistant on behalf of a leading not-for-profit organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls and supporting the wider business with efficient and compliant processes. Key Responsibilities of the role Process financial transactions including supplier setup, purchase invoices, payments, reconciliations, and income management. Manage interfaces between finance systems and other business systems to ensure data accuracy. Handle sales invoicing, credit control, cash counting, and expense claims. Support month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and reporting to internal stakeholders. Provide guidance and support to business users on financial policies and systems. Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency within the finance function. Ideal Candidate Profile Strong experience in accounts payable processing Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and VAT compliance Proficient in Excel and experienced in financial reporting systems (Agresso experience desirable) Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage conflicting deadlines Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across teams Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment Location: Richmond Duration: 6 month temporary contract, subject to further extension Pay rate: 18 per hour Working hours: Part-time (3 days per week) Working pattern: Hybrid (2 days per week on-site, 1 day from home) This vacancy will be actively shortlisted, so early applications are encouraged to avoid missing out.
