Store Manager - Chelmsford Area 55,000 - 70,000 + Package Lead a high-performing store with one of the UK’s leading retail organisations. We’re recruiting on behalf of a highly successful and respected UK retail organisation for an experienced store manager. This is an opportunity to take full ownership of a high-volume store, leading a large team while driving commercial performance, exceptional standards and customer experience. It’s a senior role but also very hands-on. We’re looking for someone who leads from the front, enjoys being on the shop floor, supports colleagues through busy trading periods, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to achieve results. Key responsibilities include full accountability for store performance, leading, coaching and developing the management and wider store team, driving sales, productivity and profitability, analysing KPIs to drive improvements, ensuring exceptional standards of merchandising, stock control, and customer service, as well as fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement. About you: we welcome applications from leaders with management experience gained in fast-paced retail, such as grocery, discount, convenience or high-volume retail, or from hospitality management backgrounds, including restaurants pubs, hotels, quick service or leisure. You’ll be people-focused with a genuine passion for developing colleagues, commercially astute, comfortable using data and KPIs, calm and resilient under pressure, and proactive in your leadership style.
